Sarah Katrina
Co-Founder & Educational Visionary
At Kids on the Yard, our mission is simple: to nurture the whole child — academically, emotionally, and socially — so every student can thrive both "on the yard" and in the classroom.

The Journey
Our founder, Sarah Katrina, brings a rare blend of educational expertise, lived experience, and conscious leadership to the heart of the company.
From Limitless Virtue (2014) to Kids on the Yard (2018)
Sarah's educational journey began long before the name Kids on the Yard existed. In 2014, she founded Limitless Virtue LLC, a passionate educational service dedicated to supporting families and children who needed more than traditional tutoring. Even in its earliest days, the company focused on nurturing confidence, communication skills, and emotional well-being.
By 2018, as the vision expanded and the philosophy matured, Kids on the Yard became the official Registered DBA name in the State of Florida. This shift was more than a rebrand — it was the birth of a nationwide educational movement built on The 21st-Century Whole Child Approach, a framework Sarah developed through years of teaching, research, and hands-on work with families.
Because life happens on the yard and in the classroom™
A Journey Rooted in Cultural Understanding & Resilience
Growing up in Southern California as the daughter of immigrant parents, Sarah experienced firsthand the challenges of language barriers, cultural transitions, and navigating the school system with limited support. Her father was half-deaf, her older brother had disabilities, and English was her second language — yet these experiences didn't hold her back. They shaped her unique understanding of children who feel "different," overwhelmed, or unnoticed in school.
Her success was deeply influenced by educators who saw her potential — which is why Kids on the Yard is built on the belief that every child deserves that kind of support.
A New Chapter: Motherhood, Healing, and Renewed Purpose (2025)
In February 2025, Sarah welcomed her son, Yehonatan (Jonathan), into the world — a blessing that came after a long, painful, and deeply transformative journey. Both mother and child fought their way back to health, a process that profoundly reshaped Sarah's understanding of resilience, patience, and nurturing.
This experience deepened the values already at the core of Kids on the Yard: compassion, individualized care, emotional safety, holistic growth, and honoring each child's unique journey. Today, Sarah's lived experience as a mother strengthens every decision she makes as a leader, educator, and advocate for children and families.
