ASVAB

What is the ASVAB?

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a multiple-aptitude test used by all branches of the U.S. military. Each branch uses the scores to decide which jobs and training programs you qualify for.

Who takes it?

High school students in grades 10 through 12, along with college students and adults. Many high schools offer it as part of a career exploration program, and students who take it at school are not signing up for the military.

What does it cover?

Reading and vocabulary, arithmetic reasoning, math knowledge, general science, and technical areas such as mechanical comprehension and electronics.
